American Report: Mavericks guard Brandon Williams was arrested and charged at the airport for marijuana possession

Reporter Ron Harrod Jr. reported that Mavericks guard Brandon Williams was arrested and charged for possession of marijuana at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport terminal on Saturday, according to an incident report obtained by DLLS Sports.
The Mavericks declined to comment when contacted on Tuesday local time.
According to reports, marijuana is still illegal in Texas. Recreational use of marijuana is not allowed in the state, and only a handful of medical uses are permitted. The second is that airports fall under federal jurisdiction. Even if it's legal in a state, marijuana is still a federally illegal substance as long as you're in an airport, on a plane or through TSA inspection. So being caught with marijuana at the airport will trigger criminal charges.
