Bucks GM: Rivers is a true basketball expert & fanatic I believe he can lead us to win the championship

Recently, Bucks general manager Jon Horst accepted an interview with reporters.

Speaking of Bucks coach Doug Rivers, Horst said: "I really enjoy working with him. In my career, it's one of the most immature relationships I have with anyone I've been hired, but he and I are getting closer every day.

"He is a big partner. Our views are completely consistent in player culture construction, professionalism, dealing with people and honest communication. He is an indispensable partner in dealing with player issues and he is willing to have any tough conversations, which is crucial in this line. When things get tough, it also gives us a real chance to win.

"He is a great basketball expert. I learn a lot from him every day. I love working with him. He has a wide network of people and he does a great job in recruiting, network building and team management. He is a basketball fanatic. I was surprised by it-no one takes notes more seriously than him. After the game, he started watching videos on the plane, which was the first thing he did. He also brought a video assistant, and he worked really hard. He still has a high passion for basketball and is a champion coach.

"The reason I think I still like to work with him and look forward to continuing to work with him is that I believe we have a chance to win the championship under him. I think he is a championship-level coach and the right person to lead us to our goals.

"Although we haven't achieved what we expected in the last two years, these two years have been full of challenges. Still, we have had two successful regular seasons. Looking back on the experiences of the two years, if we really look at the facts - we still ended the season with the fifth seed and the third seed, each season was close to 50 wins. Then we lost to the team that lost in the division final two years ago, and the team that lost in the seventh of the finals this year. We lost to a very good Indiana Pacers who deserve it. That team has performed amazingly over the past two years, beat everyone, and it's not just us.

"So, I'm very proud of my collaboration with Rivers over the past two years, and I think we've learned a lot. These experiences will help us achieve our goals. ”
