Famous reporter: It is believed that the Mavericks are willing to trade Hardy in addition to Prosper, and the matter of quota is resolved this week

Today, famous reporter Jake Fischer wrote an article about some situations in the market. Part of it talks about the Mavericks.

The original text is as follows:

As I reported by Marc Stein before, sources revealed that the Mavericks are actively trying to free up a roster spot, and the focus of the operation is to send Prosper away through the transaction.

The Mavericks reached a contract renewal agreement with Exam in July, but they already have 15 formal contract players and need to send one away to complete Exam's renewal. It is believed that their trading efforts, whether it involves Prosper or another player, such as Hardy, will have results this week.

The reason is that 5pm on Friday is the deadline for teams to use extended clauses to lay off players. More than one person told me that the Mavericks may eventually be forced to use extended clauses to cut a player to create a place to renew Exam, rather than taking a draft pick on Prosper and completing the deal.

The Mavericks only have two tradeable second-round picks, so they naturally don't want to give up either one now. This summer, the Bucks (Lillard) and the Suns (Bill) both cut off players on the team with extended terms.
