US media Fullcourtpass reported that Redick talked about having discussions with Reeves about team roles during the offseason.

Redick said: "This team belongs to Reeves, just like it belongs to James and Doncic. I told him that now he has no excuses. He is no longer the undrafted player, but one of the core of the team. He is willing to accept coaching every day, which is really great."
