"The Lakers and James have some tough conversations about the future, whether he plays for another season or a few seasons, he wants to be in a competitive environment," Shams said.
This season, James averaged 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists, and was selected for the second team of the All-Season.
