Summer League represents the Warriors averaging 9.2 points per game! Heat sign undrafted Madsen and waive Kiles

Gabe Madsen

Today, the Heat officially announced the signing of Gabe Madsen and the release of Trevor Kearse.

According to Heat reporter Anthony Chiang, the Heat will waive Kearse as part of the preseason lineup adjustment and send him to the G League affiliate team Sioux Falls Sky Force in order to sign Madsen with an Exhibit 10 contract. In fact, Madsen signed an Exhibit 9 contract, which is basically still a preseason contract, not a two-way contract. The Heat's preseason lineup remains at the upper limit of 21 people. Additionally, the team has an open spot on a two-way contract.

Madsen is 1.98 meters tall and weighs 91 kilograms. He serves as a defender. As this year's undrafted player, Madsen signed a summer league contract with the Warriors and played in 6 games, averaging 9.2 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

Kears is 1.91 meters tall and weighs 97 kilograms. He serves as a defender. Last season, Kearse played 31 games for the G League team Iowa Wolves (a team affiliated with the Timberwolves), averaging 20.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
