👀 Team Note: The Warriors will likely leave Kumingga in the summer and may make changes until December

Warriors Monte Poole recently talked about Kumingga's situation this summer on a podcast show.

"Recent rumors and internal news show that the Warriors may eventually leave Kuminga, but this does not mean that he will be the Warriors' long-term preferred. The Warriors may also make changes later," said Monte Poole.

This summer, Kumingga will become a restricted free agent. After the Warriors give their qualifications, other teams can make a quote, and the Warriors have the right to match. However, Warriors' record Anthony Slater previously reported that there is a "baseline annual compensation" rule in the labor-management agreement. Under this rule, if Kumingga signs a new contract this summer, the Warriors can only count half of Kumingga's salary when putting him in the transaction to match, which limits the Warriors' flexibility to sign and exchange with Kumingga.

But after the new contract protection period ends in December, the Warriors can use Kumingga's full salary to match the transaction. Monte Poole mentioned that by then, it may be the time when the Warriors make changes again.
