Carlos Augusto: Playing for the national team is every player’s dream and it’s great to regain trust
In the Brazilian national team, Inter Milan full-back Carlos Augusto accepted an interview with CBF TV.
He said: "The position I play is difficult to find good players in Brazil and even around the world, but we have many high-level players. I think healthy competition is good for everyone. The more intense the competition between us, as long as everyone goes all out, it will be a good thing for the national team and ourselves."
"I have a lot of experience in Inter Milan. Being a midfielder helps me a lot. Being able to play multiple positions gives me more opportunities and possibilities in the national team and the club. This is a positive thing. I have been training hard and hope to play well in both positions."
Carlos Augusto has not played for Brazil for nearly two years. The last time he played was when Diniz was coaching.
"Of course, it is always a dream for every player to represent the national team, and I finally made my debut for the national team under him. After that, I was not selected for a year and a half, and I have been training hard to keep being called up. It is really good to regain trust and I think it is the result of hard work. Therefore, I always hope to give my best in the club and in daily life to represent our country in the best condition."
