Gross: I don t want to be a burden on Dortmund. I m not worried about the competition in the team.

Dortmund midfielder Gross said in an interview with Ruhr News that he does not want to be a burden on the team.

Gross said: "I always say that it has to make sense for both sides. If the club feels that I'm not suitable anymore, I won't ask for a renewal. I'll be the first to say 'Thank you very much, it's a great time' and then I'll take another path. I don't want to be a burden, I want to help the team, I want to make a difference. If I no longer have a big role in the team, I'd rather not have a contract, go to a place where I can help, or simply retire."

Regarding competition within the team, Gross said: "I feel relaxed about the current situation, I don't worry about it, I will try to do what I can control. It means training, playing well, and then we see how things are. In my life, things usually come naturally."
