Hermoso filed a complaint with the Supreme Court against Rubiales request to acquit him

According to documents obtained by the National Court of Six, the defense team of Spanish women's football international Hermoso, who had been forced to kiss, has filed a complaint with the Spanish Supreme Court against the appeal of former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation Rubiales, who filed an appeal for acquittal.

Rubiales appealed to the Supreme Court in early July to express his dissatisfaction with the national court's ruling. The National Court fully confirmed the judgment made by the Central Criminal Court on February 20 this year. The court sentenced Rubiales to fined 10,800 euros for sexual assault and declared him ineffective in coercion.

After the first verdict, Rubiales' defense team appealed, insisting on its point of view that the kiss the world saw in the live broadcast "is a sign of excitement, not a crime." However, the appeals court of the National Court upheld the original verdict, including declaring the other three defendants in the case, former national team coach Jorge Vilda, former men's football department director Albert Luke and former joint marketing director Ruvan Rivera's charges of coercion.

After the appeals court made the ruling, Rubiales' attorney Alba Tubo immediately announced that he would appeal to the Supreme Court "to fight for a verdict that is in compliance with the law."

Tubao's killer is based on the reasoning of the Supreme Court. According to her, the Supreme Court has clearly drawn the line: when there is no sexual intention (as in this case), a kiss should not be considered a punishmentable act.

Faced with this situation, Hermoso's defense team did not give up and intervened in the case, in an attempt to prevent Rubyales' appeal from being successful and to avoid being acquitted. On the other hand, the female footballer's lawyers have not yet decided whether to appeal Rubyales's sentence, in an effort to sentence him to two and a half years in prison.
