Is there still a need for traditional point guards now? Rondo: The Thunder have not yet succeeded, but the Rockets are also good

Today, Bucks coach assistant Rondo talked about the fact that some NBA teams do not have traditional point guards on Matt Barnes' podcast "All The Smoke".
Barnes: Do you think the current NBA can still win without traditional point guards? For example, the Rockets, everyone is talking about them.
Rondo: It depends on the football intelligence of the whole team. You see, the Thunder have already done it, but the football intelligence of their whole team is very high. The traditional point guard role has evolved, but now more requires the entire team to be able to handle the ball, not just the point guard. I think teams like the Thunder and Rockets do a good job of this. A good point guard is an extension of the coach on the court, able to better execute tactical arrangements and help the team win. So strictly speaking, it would be better if there is a good point guard, but if there is not then the whole team needs to control the rhythm and route, which requires all players to be online, which is very interesting.
