Retired from the NBA last year~🥹34-year-old Rubio: I was able to get to this day because of the assists you gave me

Former NBA player, 34-year-old Ricky Rubio updated his social media updates and thanked everyone for their "assistance".

Rubio posted two pictures, which also marked the team and year he played for.

Rubio wrote: "I spent this year reflecting on my career and life. I realized that I could get to where I am today, not because of the assists I gave, but because of the assists (helps). This is not a farewell, it is a thank you to all those who have helped me along the way." In January 2024, Rubio announced his retirement from the NBA, and he said he had mental health problems. After reaching a buyout agreement with the Cavaliers, Rubio returned to Spain to join his old club Barcelona Men's Basketball Team, and he signed with the team until the end of the season.

Rubio played in Spain as a teenager and became the youngest player in Spanish league history at the age of 14. In 2009, Rubio was selected by the Timberwolves with the fifth pick in the first round. He played for the Timberwolves, Jazz, Suns and Cavaliers in his NBA career. He played in a total of 698 regular season games, averaging 10.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
